Terms of Service

1. Introduction
Welcome to Westshore Clean! These Terms of Service govern your use of our cleaning services, including any related products or services offered by us. By using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms.

 

2. Services
We provide standard and move in/out cleaning services for residential properties in Sooke, Metchosin, Langford, Royal Bay, Colwood, and Bear Mountain. A full breakdown of our services can be found here. All services are subject to availability and scheduling.

 

3. Booking and Payment
To book our services, you must provide accurate information about your cleaning needs, including the size of the property and any specific requirements. 50% of payment is due prior to your booking start time with the remaining 50% due within 24 hours of completion, as agreed upon between you and Westshore Clean. We accept payment via e-transfer or cash. 


4. Cancellation and Rescheduling
You can cancel or reschedule your cleaning appointment by providing us with at least 24 hours notice. Failure to provide sufficient notice will result in a $50 cancellation fee. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule appointments due to unforeseen circumstances.

 

5. Accidents or Theft 
The customer is responsible for securing – cash, jewellery and any other items of value. If you have valuables or heirlooms, etc, it would be helpful if they would be put away to avoid accidents from happening. Our personnel are instructed to contact Westshore Clean owner immediately if anything is broken, and to leave a note informing you of the accident.

In the event an item is damaged or broken, we reserve the option to repair or replace the item, if it was caused by our team. You must report this incident within 24 hours of service. The customer must be present at the end of the cleaning, and must inspect the home before the cleaners’ departure. Any damages should be brought to our attention right away. Once the cleaners leave. The cleaner is no longer liable for any damages that may occur where we cannot verify the source of the damage.


6. Refunds & Satisfaction
Our services are personalized to each customer, therefore, Westshore Clean does not offer refunds. However, if you are not satisfied with your service please contact us within 24 hours after the booking start time with any concerns. If we are notified within 24 hours of the initial cleaning we will discuss a re-clean. Customers must list, with pictures, areas of the home that were missed during the initial cleaning.

Any areas not reported and listed within 24 hours of the initial cleaning to Westshore Clean will not be considered for a re-clean. New services may not be added to the re-clean without reaching a minimum new service requirement. 

 

7. Confidentiality
We respect your privacy and will not disclose any personal or confidential information provided to us during the course of our services. We may use your information for internal purposes, such as scheduling and billing, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

 

8. Westshore Clean Conduct
Westshore Clean will be respectful and professional while in your home and our cleaners will not perform tasks outside of their jobs. While in your home our sole focus is to give you the best home cleaning experience. 

 

9. Cancellations 
A cancellation fee of $50 will be charged unless notification of a change has been made more than 24 hours prior to the service date and time. All notifications must be made by emailing/texting Westshore Clean. 

 

10. Rescheduling 
You may reschedule a service with more than 24 hours notice to the service appointment time. A service rescheduled can be cancelled at anytime for a $50 cancellation fee or rescheduled to a later date at no charge.

 

11. Heights 
Westshore Clean cleaners do not work at heights over of a 3-step ladder. Any cleaning that requires using a ladder more than 3-steps will not be conducted by the cleaners. In order to ensure proper health and safety during jobs Westshore Clean will decline working at heights.

 

12. Pets 
While we love pets here at Westshore Clean, our cleaners do appreciate it when they are secured as it helps move the job along faster. 


Neither Westshore Clean nor its cleaners are responsible for pets that “escape” when we are entering/exiting your home. If your pet will be roaming free during the clean, please let us know in advance, so we can be on alert when opening doors. Our cleaners will close doors as soon as they enter and exit your home and will not leave doors open.

 

 

13. Move In/Out Cleaning Services
Customers who use our moving cleaning services agree that their homes are empty and free of clutter. If there are still items in the home there may be additional charges applied. Additionally, Westshore Clean does not remove pet odours from homes and you will be required to hire a specialist if that is something you are needing done. 

 

14. Locked Out/ No Access to Home
Westshore Clean will make every effort to accommodate its customers in the event we are locked out and where our cleaners cannot gain entry to your home for some reason. Lockouts can be rescheduled to another date at no charge.

 

15. Stain Removal
Westshore Clean will do its best to remove any stains are during cleaning. However, long term stains may be difficult to remove during the required cleaning time. Westshore Clean will advise customers in such cases to decide what is an acceptable cleaning for that portion of the home.


16. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. By continuing to use our services after any changes to these Terms, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms.
